Mad about the bay
Article Abstract:
The assets of the Cardiff Bay Development Corp will be transferred to the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) and the Harbour Authority, to be created by the county council in Cardiff, Wales, on Mar 31, 2000. There is uncertainty about what role the WDA will fulfill with regard to the regeneration of Cardiff Bay. The WDA will have a limited budget, and it will therefore focus on preventing deterioration, rather than on new schemes. WDA land division MD Nic Neal emphasizes the importance of marketing Cardiff Bay as part of the city as a whole.
