North Carolina ranks as the top state in business climate in 2001, according to a survey conducted by 'Site Selection' magazine. The combination of new and expanded corporate facilities for 2000; total new and expanded corporate facilities in 1998-2000; new and expanded facilities in 1998-2000 per 1 million residents; new and expanded facilities per 1,000 miles in 1998-2000; and real estate executive survey results were used to make the determination.
