The reports on the investments made by the companies on advertising purposes in the year 2004 in United States are discussed. The ways companies should approach advertising with the emerging new world of integrated marketing communications (IMC), especially for the real estate business that spent around $11.5 billion last year for advertising its services are also discussed.

Cendant spin-off still buying

Richard Smith, chairman and chief executive officer of Cendant's real estate services division has clarified that there will be no adverse effect on the division because of parent company's decision to split into four different publicly traded companies. Smith will continue to lead the real estate division, which will be converted into a new publicly traded company.
