Partnership, not discord
Article Abstract:
The UK real estate industry is currently represented by two professional bodies, the RICS and the ISVA. This creates a sense of disharmony within the industry, and makes it hard for a single view to be put forward about issues relating to real estate. In theory, a merger of the two professional bodies would bring considerable advantages, but this does not mean that a merger will necessarily take place. The RICS is not currently considering any merger proposal, but it has been decided that a dialogue should be instigated with the ISVA.
