Article Abstract:
United Norwest Co-op is a niche operator, and will not compete with larger retailers, according to Property Controller Derek Fogg. The company has a property portfolio worth around 175 million pounds sterling across the North West of the UK, and is now seeking to expand this in specific areas and towns. It is looking to establish a strong presence in both the mid-range supermarket sector and the convenience store sector. It uses local agents to assist with site acquisition.
