Out of town, out of sight?
Article Abstract:
The office market in Strathclyde, Scotland, has been affected by the slower development of Scottish business parks compared to such developments in the UK. Most business park developments involve office of between 2,000 sq ft and 10,000 sq ft. Developers have to convince clients that sites outside major urban areas are attractive. Costs are lower but market conditions have also allowed tenants to negotiate good rates for central urban sites.

Making a success of the services sector
Article Abstract:
The city of Bristol has seen a decline in its traditional manufacturing industries over recent decades, but this has been balanced out by the strong expansion of the service sector, particularly financial services. North Bristol has until recently attracted all the major occupiers, offering cheaper buildings and easier parking. However, regeneration work is now starting to make the city centre more attractive again.
