Future changes in UK National Health Service and the higher education sector may leave some of their residential accommodation surplus to requirements. They are providing a good level of income for investors which will continue to improve. Residential accommodation for students or for nursing and medical staff is becoming a more interesting investment for developers, housing associations and their financial backers. Students pay rents of around 35-75 pounds sterling per week. Some developers are using older office buildings in city centres and adapting them for students.
