The recovery of the CMBS market

The commercial mortgage backed securities market had major decreases in business in Aug 1998 because of the difficulties in the international economic arena. As some investors retreated from this market, others, such as, insurance companies and large money managers, entered the market. Investors with long term capital could bring stability to this market if they perceive greater rewards than risks.
