Industry observers point out some firms are planning to manage the acceleration in electronic shopping by sharing distribution centres with other firms. Although some companies, such as Amazon, have had their own centres built. Some e-commerce firms prefer to have their warehouse facilities and call-centres within one building. Property experts point out the increasing interest in electronic commerce is profitable for them as they are required to find more distribution space although they acknowledge retailing may be affected.
