Most procuring cause disputes concern disagreements over who gets the selling portion of the fee in cases when two realtors are involved in the sale. A local association, guided by the 'Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual' of the National Assn of Realtors, usually decides who gets the money.

PAG report puts punch in Code

The draft report of the PAG submitted in Apr 1998 strongly advocates the mandatory ethics orientation to all members of the National Assn of Realtors. It also recommends the establishment of a national standard for penalizing violators of the Code.
