When the tide goes out
Article Abstract:
The Essex town of Southend has a relatively healthy property market, with vacancy levels for both office and industrial accommodation being among the lowest in the county. However, deals remain rather small, and some major plans have fallen through. The main area of growth is the retail sector, where the fact that there are no large towns nearby is of considerable benefit.

Cataloguing success
Article Abstract:
The property market in the Essex town of Basildon has received a much-needed boost with the decision by Argos to build a regional distribution centre there. This could attract other large employers, which will in turn push up rents. Demand from the distribution sector is already starting to grow, with particular interest in sites with a large amount of yard space.
