Article Abstract:

Structural reform and disinflation: lessons from Argentina's convertibility plan
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of Argentina's economic stabilization programs during the Menem administration reveals that policy makers do 'learn by doing' and that they do believe that stabilization is all but impossible to obtain. The study also supports evidence that leadership also plays a role in commercial policy success and that inflation determines the type of economic policy formulated.
