The Beginnings of crony capitalism: business, politics and economic development in Malaysia, c. 1955-70

The crony capitalism in case of Malaysia describes a close link between the state and a group of most-favoured entrepreneurs in contemporary Southeast Asia. The study examines origins and development of crony capitalism and emphasis is also placed upon the politics of banking.
