Sharon Adl-Doost rapidly gained many fans when, as a canteen worker at the US Geological Survey in Reston, VA, she started making a daily recording of the lunchtime menu that staff could access via their phone. Soon, many people from outside the organization were phoning up to listen to her humour and songs, and this caused friction with her employers.
