Anti-hunt campaigner seeks victory in the air
Article Abstract:
John Hicks, who has campaigned against stag hunts in Devon and Somerset, England, since 1982, intends to take photographs of the hunt kill from his microlight aircraft in 1992. Previously he was attacked when he was near enough to film the hunt on foot. Mr Hicks, director of International Animal Rescue, is manager of Paul McCartney's 87-acre deer sanctuary, St John's Wood, Somerset. A six foot high fence was erected by hunt supporters on the east of the wood to prevent hounds from trespassing.
