Bounty hunters tail runaway brides
Article Abstract:
It is becoming increasingly common for young British muslim women to be forced into an arranged marriage. This has led to a rise in the number of these women running away from home. Those who seek to escape an arranged marriage in this way are sometimes hunted down by friends, relatives or professionals who demand a fee for finding them. Asian women's groups have established a growing number of refuges to assist runaways, but are concerned that this issue remains politically sensitive.
