Bewitched by a magical singer
Article Abstract:
Depression makes you feel that your own agenda is not important, according to folk-rock singer Dar Williams. She suffered clinical depression because she could not cope with strong competition from her two older sisters, and turned to music for consolation. She regards her guitar playing as only basic, but has been attracting audiences across Europe with her playing and her sweet, three-octave voice. Her songs reveal a great deal about her personality.

Article Abstract:
It is rather strange to have never had a proper job, according to songwriter Roddy Frame. He emphasizes that he takes a very structured approach to his work and that he is able to identify very small errors in records. However, he tries not to focus too consciously on his sources of inspiration. He is currently writing songs, but does not have a grand plan. He believes that there should be a playful element in songwriting.
