Can you believe it?
Article Abstract:
Actor Richard Wilson became extremely popular through the television series 'One Foot in the Grave,' and is now in great demand among producers. His agreement to participate in 'Lord of Misrule,' a single television drama which is to be broadcast shortly, was vital in getting the project off the ground. He came to acting relatively late in life, and developed a talent for mime and improvisation as a way of disguising his then still broad Scottish accent.

A bloke for all seasons
Article Abstract:
Much of what journalists write is incorrect, according to comedian, actor and musician Keith Allen. He admits that he behaved wildly in the past, but resents being unable to shed this image because journalists refuse to look beyond it. He feels that he has now begun to mellow, a process reflected in the fact that he has taken roles in increasingly serious dramas. He believes that the key to successful acting is being relaxed.

A quiet life? Anything but
Article Abstract:
Actor Keith Allen has become accustomed to media coverage which gives the impression that he is an alcoholic or a drug addict. He acknowledges that he is an outgoing person, and feels that he would attract public attention regardless of his job. He began on the stand-up comedy circuit, but has taken on increasingly serious roles. He appears in the title role in the ITV period drama 'The Life and Crimes of William Palmer.'
