Crisis? What crisis?
Article Abstract:
Recent events surrounding Glenn Hoddle, who was forced to resign as coach of the England football team after making apparently unsympathetic remarks about disabled people, and Chief Inspector of Schools Chris Woodhead, who also made controversial remarks but seems to have kept his job, highlight the fact that good crisis management can avert a potential public relations disaster. Public relations experts agree that Hoddle could have avoided the need to resign if he had handled the situation better, especially in emphasizing that his comments had been wrongly reported by The Times.

The turnip strikes back
Article Abstract:
Watford Football Club Manager Graham Taylor has attracted very mixed reactions from the media at various points in his career. His time as England team Manager between 1990 and 1993 began well, but he encountered considerable criticism following his team's defeat by Sweden in the European Championship. However, Watford has performed well under his leadership since 1996. He is now focusing on nurturing talent among young footballers.
