The appliance of common sense
Article Abstract:
The extended warranty market for domestic electrical appliances is now worth 400 million pounds sterling in the UK. However, many experts feel that extended warranties do not represent good value for money, and may not even be necessary at all. Extended warranties tend to be very expensive compared with the purchase price of many items. Furthermore, electrical goods are becoming more reliable, and many extended warranties are therefore more expensive than paying for repairs.

Crippling costs of skiing without cover
Article Abstract:
It is vital to purchase appropriate insurance before taking a skiing holiday. Some travel agents make it compulsory to take out their insurance, but in most cases it is best to avoid insurance sold by travel agents. It is important to establish exactly what is covered by ski insurance. Some policies state that a guide must be present if the insured person wishes to ski off-piste, for example, while others will only cover skis if they are locked when left unattended.
