Dead man writing ...
Article Abstract:
Most men and women on Death Row are poor and mentally ill. They generally come from very deprived backgrounds, and are victims of circumstances, rather than calculating killers. Those who correspond with such people often find it hard to accept initially that they are establishing links with a murderer. However, they soon find that the correspondence can greatly enrich their own lives, giving them a much deeper understanding of what can bring a person to commit a murder.

Only my brother
Article Abstract:
A woman tells of her reaction to the death of her 17-year-old brother when she was 20. She felt a devastating loss, but was unable to express her grief openly as she feared that this would add to her parents' suffering. It was as if part of her life had disappeared, but this was not acknowledged by anybody. The situation can be made worse if the parents refuse to acknowledge that the death has taken place and try to block out all memories of the person who has died.
