Define your goal, then shoot for the best returns
Article Abstract:
Those wishing to save for a long-term goal, such as retiring early, should first calculate how much they can afford to save. The choice of a financial product for long-term saving will be determined by a number of factors, including whether money is to be saved regularly or as a lump sum and how much risk you are prepared to take. The lowest-risk investment is National Savings certificates, as the investment is guaranteed by the government. A unit trust savings scheme offers savers the opportunity to place regular sums in shares or other financial market investments.
