DianaWorld: the making of a Tragic Kingdom
Article Abstract:
There are very large expectations globally about initiatives to honour the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, according to Princess of Wales Memorial Fund Chief Executive Andrew Purkis. So far, the fund has operated mainly through goodwill and understanding, but there is now a clear need for a more coherent approach. Purkis also feels that it is important that attention is given to the public perception of how the fund is managed. The fund is now moving towards being a conventional voluntary sector organization, but hopes to do distinctive work.

A life of freedom, or a whale of a lie?
Article Abstract:
Preparations are being made to return Keiko, the killer whale which appeared in the 'Free Willy' films, to the wild. However, this is likely to be a very hazardous operation. The whale is very used to humans, and relies heavily on them. Extensive work has been undertaken to improve his health, but it is still unlikely that he would survive in the wild, especially if it were not possible to find his original pod. Researchers know very little about how whales live in the wild, and this is proving an obstacle to Keiko's rehabilitation.

Fondling, fraud and pay-offs - just another day in Camden
Article Abstract:
Amanda Kelly, deputy chief executive of Camden council in London, England, is taking legal action against the council and Steve Bundred, the council's chief executive, accusing them of sexual discrimination and victimization. The case will cost the council between 300,000 pounds sterling and 500,000 pounds sterling, and this figure could double if Kelly wins. Whatever the outcome, the council's reputation will be damaged.
