Article Abstract:
The violence associated with the Carnival Against Capitalism event, staged to draw attention to the need to cancel Third World debt, is a reflection of the frustration felt by many people at the fact that their political views are not being represented by the UK government. People who feel strongly about particular issues feel that they have no political party to join or support. It is understandable that their frustration sometimes evolves into violence, although this is not excusable.

Men, your days as household gods are over
Article Abstract:
Surveys reveal that UK society continues to focus on the challenges faced by women in relation to work and childcare. In fact, what should now be considered is the balance between women and men, work and childcare. It is now time to reject the traditional social structure of a five-day working week for both men and women. Men must join with women in seeking to work less and spend more time creating strong family relationships.
