Douglas Gray
Article Abstract:
Douglas Gray produced sound recordings of major performers such as musicians from 1946, and was driven by a strong commitment to Scottish culture. He sometimes found there was strong demand for his work, though he was not a business expert. He moved into motion pictures during the 1960s, making promotional and educational documentaries. He was also a part-time lecturer in economics at the University of Glasgow, and worked at the Scottish Film Council as an Assistant Director in the 1950s.
