Flight of the world's great dictators
Article Abstract:
A number of former dictators have been able to life a comfortable life in exile. Indeed, some have even managed to live in considerable luxury, despite having been responsible for the deaths of many people. Idi Amin Dada of Uganda, for example, was provided with a house and an income in Saudi Arabia, while former Ethiopian dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam is living in Zimbabwe at the taxpayer's expense. However, other dictators have been less fortunate. These include Jean-Claude Duvalier, who is moving from apartment to apartment among the exiled Haitian community in France.
