Happily hanging out in oblivion
Article Abstract:
It is vital that films attract the attention of ordinary people, according to filmmaker Tom DiCillo. He was aware of this responsibility when making 'The Real Blonde.' However, this film does actually have large sections when there seems to be no action. The film provides a realistic insight into the relationship of a thirty-something couple in New York, NY, but also has an element of affection. DiCillo was strongly influenced by the film 'Rebel Without A Cause,' which stars James Dean.
