I'm Mike, I'm a beggar, and this is my life
Article Abstract:
Irishman Mike Newman, 38, sells the magazine for the homeless 'The Big Issue,' which sells about 100,000 copies a week in six UK cities. After his wife died from breast cancer, Mike gave up work to look after his son. Then it was difficult to get back into work, so he became a beggar. He obtained three A-levels at school but was taught by Christian brothers who beat him. He grew up in a stable family in Belfast and went to London in 1972 to train as a nurse. He has a temporary bedsit in Ilford and would like a proper job with a fair wage.

Terrific ball skills ... and no sniggering
Article Abstract:
Rugby football has recently become one of the quickest growing sports for women in the UK and players quickly become addicted to it, both as a means of exercise and to get rid of stress. There is a strong group sense between the teams and they support one another emotionally both on and off the pitch. It is accepted that they do not possess the skills with the ball that men have and have to learn things that boys learn in their youth. Women players do not tend to work in male-oriented areas to any significant extent.
