Is China really so bad?
Article Abstract:
China has recently been portrayed in a negative light by western media covering the treatment of children in orphanages there. However, this is only a very limited view of how life really is in China. This country's approach to population control, which has been widely criticised, must also be seen against a background of international concern about the inability to sustain an expanding world population. China is in fact much further ahead than the west in terms of sustainability.

How to spot a really good deal
Article Abstract:
It is possible to find genuine bargains in the post-Christmas sales which many shops hold. However, it also worth being aware that savings may not be quite as attractive as they seem. Some shops buy in merchandise specially for sales, as they feel that customer expectations force them to create bargains even where none really exist. The best bargains are usually to be found in clothing departments, where stock cannot be carried over into the next season.
