Most women acknowledge that their relationship with their sister was very strained when they were young, but now feel that the tension between them has vanished. In fact, this is not necessarily the case. It is quite common for a woman's relationship with her sister to influence how she behaves in certain circumstances, even if she does not realize this. Furthermore, many sisters seek protection from each other by deliberately making themselves very different from each other.
