Man of the gear
Article Abstract:
The motor industry have been through a difficult patch over recent years, but is now beginning to take on a more positive image again, according to motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson. He has gained a reputation for being outspoken, sometimes giving offence to people, companies or places, but this has served merely to make him very popular. He is often critical of other countries, but is extremely fond of Italian cars, particularly Ferraris. He has a very straightforward approach, and talks about cars in a language which ordinary people can understand.

Charm and awe revive a memory of violent passions
Article Abstract:
Poet Laureate Ted Hughes has always remained silent about the circumstances surrounding the suicide in Feb 1963 of his wife and fellow poet Sylvia Plath. Fans of Plath have been extremely critical of him, and some have even gone as far as to accuse him of prompting her suicide. New light has been shed on this subject by the unexpected publication by Hughes of 'Birthday Letters,' a work showing Plath as vivid and passionate and going against the idea that Hughes had few real feelings for her.
