Property development concern Urban Splash Chmn Tom Bloxham feels that he has never really had a vision. His company, created with architect Jonathan Falkingham in 1993, developed the first loft properties in the north of England. Its work is based on good contemporary design and using redundant buildings. Bloxham believes that those interested in an entrepreneurial career should begin early, before they take on too many other commitments.

Philip Linacre states that he had no reservations about going into business with Stephen Brook to set up Massive, which now has 29 pubs. Brook feels that they have been able to assemble an excellent team and that this has given them the motivation they needed to keep the business going.
