Mirror to reality
Article Abstract:
Latest virtual reality technology was used in a project entitled 'The Mirror' which was set up by Illuminations, the production company responsible for the BBC2 television programme 'The Net,' BT, the BBC and Sony. Article Abstract:
Engineering and design concern Cambridge Advanced Electronics (CAE) became a virtual company in 1998. It shed its administrative staff, abandoned its offices and arranged for its consultants to work from home. It has already been possible to significantly reduce overheads and boost efficiency. CAE also feels that working conditions for its staff have improved, particularly in terms of allowing flexible working patterns and eliminating the need to commute.
