Neil Jordan: the writing game
Article Abstract:
Neil Jordan originally came to public attention as a novelist, but he now believes that he is being replaced in this field by a new generation of writers. He has become much more involved in film directing, but has recently published a new novel, 'Sunrise with Sea Monster.' His novels tend to be more meditative than his films, with a strong element of melancholy and poetic vision. His latest novel deals with betrayal on a personal and a political level.
