Pale reflections of past demagogues
Article Abstract:
Greek politicians have traditionally been extremely combative, especially during election campaigns. However, the latest generation of politicians have a much less high profile, and the campaigning for the forthcoming elections is very low-key. There are signs of greater willingness to make compromises, and some observers feel that Greece is moving towards a system which is centred on institutions, rather than on individual personalities.

Tears and drama as Greeks say farewell
Article Abstract:
The state funeral of Greek politician Andreas Papandreou has had a significant impact on the country which he dominated politically for so many years.
