Pru's plan for 25m pounds sterling centre raises stakes in telebank war
Article Abstract:
UK bank Prudential will invest 25 million pounds sterling in a call centre in Pride Park, Derby, England. This will create 1,500 jobs, bringing considerable benefits to the local economy. The investment reflects the success of Prudential's existing call centre in Dudley, England, and the fact that the telebanking market is becoming increasingly competitive. Standard Life and Bank of Scotland have announced plans to double the number of people they employ in telebanking.
