She's had enough, and she's not going to fake it any more
Article Abstract:
The refusal by some girls at Loudoun Valley High School in Loudoun County, VA, to act as hostesses, or cheerleaders, for the finals of the Babe Ruth 'World Series' youth baseball tournament has attracted considerable attention across the US. This is because this issue is related to that of the frequently tense relations between the sexes. Girls in this area, which has the most rapidly growing population in the whole of the US, are under pressure to be both modest and flirtatious, living up to the traditional image of cheerleaders, but are also under pressure to become tougher and to be confident as the prepare to face men in the world of work.

That crisp 20 pounds sterling note is a fake. How can anyone tell?
Article Abstract:
Forgers are now using very sophisticated techniques to produce bank notes which cannot be readily distinguished from genuine ones. It is thought that fake notes worth around 100 million pounds sterling are currently in circulation. Forgeries have a particularly negative impact on consumers, who must hand a fake note to the police and are not entitled to compensation. Banks and building societies are not obliged to reimburse people to whom they issue fake notes.

Game, set and cash on Centre Court
Article Abstract:
Investing in a Wimbledon debenture can be an extremely wise move. The new debenture issue, covering 1996-2000, costs 19,625 pounds sterling, but has already risen considerably in value. The debentures, issued on a partly-paid basis in three tranches, also entitle holders to Centre Court tickets at the Wimbledon tennis championships, along with car parking and lounge passes.
