Sickened by Jason's suit
Article Abstract:
The Face magazine was successfully sued for 200,000 pounds sterling libel damages by Jason Donovan and its owner, Nick Logan, is launching a fund to raise cash for the damages plus the same again for legal costs. The Face did not, unlike most newspapers and magazines, have libel insurance because it is not the sort of magazine to libel people. It has concentrated exclusively on the 18 to 24 age group and is extremely well regarded in the media world. Photographers and writers are glad to work cheap for it.

Misery Line blues
Article Abstract:
The London-Tilbury-Southend rail line has a reputation for running a very poor service. Trains have been frequently delayed, very old rolling stock is used and fares are very high. Privatisation of the line was claimed to offer the best solution to these problems, but this has now been delayed following the discovery of an alleged ticketing fraud by British Rail inspectors.
