Six sail into a moral whirlwind
Article Abstract:
There are contradictory medical practices and ethical inconsistencies over who to treat for infertility. Treatment should be monitored properly to avoid multiple births. Sextuplets were born to Mrs Jean Vince and her partner Jan who are not married and do not live together. Mrs Vince has polycystic ovary syndrome, so cannot ovulate unaided. This is treated by injection with the hormone gonadotrophin. Scarce resources have to be rationed. Some hospitals treat single women and others do not.

Hunt for a heartbeat in the ruins
Article Abstract:
Rescue workers are still trying to locate survivors of the bomb attack on the US embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. The International Committee of the Red Cross estimates that 10 people may still be trapped in the wreckage, but rescue workers are aware that the chances of finding anyone alive are diminishing rapidly. They have mainly been removing bodies from the wreckage, and the death toll has now risen to 155.
