Stay in a film...
Article Abstract:
The Joie de Vivre group has 13 hotels in San Francisco, CA. These are small outlets designed to be very different from the large, anonymous hotels usually found in the city. The Bijou, for example, is a film-themed hotel with 65 rooms, all of which are named after a film made in or featuring San Francisco. The hotels do not offer some of the services found in larger outlets, but most are in central locations and are very interesting places to stay.

Die of happiness on the barge hotel
Article Abstract:
Travelling by barge-hotel provides a valuable opportunity to gain a fresh insight into life in France. One such journey goes along the Yonne and Seine rivers from Joigny in Burgundy to Monet's house and garden at Giverny in Normandy. Visitors see vast expanses of countryside, and are also able to take half-day sightseeing trips. Cruising inevitably takes place at a slow pace, and this brings a strong sense of relaxation.

Hervey's Bristol dream
Article Abstract:
Frederick Hervey, the fourth Earl of Bristol, who was born in 1730 and died in 1803, is profiled. Particular attention is given to the myth that he founded the famous Hotel Bristol brand. He was certainly an enthusiastic traveller, but many of the hotels are in cities he never visited.
