Albanian doctors singled out for Serbian brutality
Article Abstract:
The Serbian regime has been particularly brutal towards the ethnic Albanian medical profession in Kosovo, Yugoslavia. Physicians for Human Rights believes that at least 28 doctors have been arrested, with many others having been intimidated. The Serbian authorities have made significant efforts to stop the creation of medical care, particularly in areas controlled by the Kosovo Liberation Army, while Serbian doctors have been guilty of cruelty towards ethnic Albanian patients.

Looters trapped in their own inferno
Article Abstract:
Extensive looting, smashing and burning in Jakarta, Indonesia, brought relatively few casualties until looters set fire to the Yogya department store. This fire killed as many as 200 people, most of them the looters themselves. Other victims were shopkeepers protecting their businesses and ordinary shoppers trapped in the riot. Mobs in other parts of the city have also set fire to shopping centres, which act as a symbol of President Suharto's Indonesia.
