The anti-hero of Huntingdon
Article Abstract:
The county of Cambridgeshire, England, has a number of close links with Oliver Cromwell. The towns of St Ives, Huntingdon and Ely are particularly closely associated with Cromwell. There are still a few taverns surviving from the 17th century in Huntingdon, where Cromwell was born, and the Falcon Inn was where he made his Civil War headquarters. It is also possible to see the old grammar school where he was educated, which is now the Cromwell Museum. The Tourist Information Office in Ely is located in the home in which he lived between 1636 and 1647.

100 degrees of solitude
Article Abstract:
The Maldives, an independent Islamic republic made up of 1,192 coral islands in the Indian Ocean south west of Sri Lanka, have a population of around 250,000. Visitors to the Maldives will encounter very high temperatures and a very slow pace of life. It is particularly worth snorkelling and scuba-diving, as the sea is very warm and clear and there are large numbers of fascinating fish. The Maldives attract large numbers of visitors, especially honeymooners, but resorts remain quiet.
