The collected works of Jacobs Kloppenburg
Article Abstract:
Dutch artist Jacobs Kloppenburg's achievements have generally gone unrecognized in his native country. Indeed, the landlord of the 400-year-old coffee and sugar warehouse that Kloppenburg uses as a studio, storage space and archive is attempting to have him evicted, as he feels that the building has been cluttered up with rubbish. In fact, these items are almost all the work ever produced by Kloppenburg. His works are very hard to classify, and he refuses to exhibit them.

The paparazzi join the New York art world
Article Abstract:
The Robert Miller gallery in Manhattan, New York, NY, is currently staging an exhibition entitled 'Il Paparazzo.' This traces the history of the photography of celebrities from the mid-1950s until the present day. The exhibition shows that there is no such thing as photography as such, simply different uses and misuses of photographs. It successfully investigates the hidden aesthetics of the photography of celebrities by showing it in a different cultural context.
