The stranglemonger who fixed the President
Article Abstract:
Sascha Sorokin is a masseur who believes that massage must hurt to be effective, and has treated many famous people including President Bush. Born in England Mr Sorokin originally was a training instructor at the David Morgan Health Club in London. After taking a correspondence course in massage, he travelled the world and researched the origins of the remedy concluding that it should be punitive treatment. Now living in a converted van he is asked to treat the famous, and is always ready to barter the price of a massage for food or fuel.

Johannesburg: an old boy goes back
Article Abstract:
In 1979 Sandringham High School, Johannesburg, prepared white students for their place in society and ignored any political or moral issues. Pupils were taught not to be questioning and aggression was encouraged. In 1991/2 when white state schools were allowed to include black children on their roll, 15 black pupils joined the 1,000 white pupils; 300 had applied but either lived too far away in Soweto or failed English and maths tests set to keep up standards. Some teachers were uncertain about altering their lessons.

Some people take up exercise because their self-esteem is low, and soon find that they get a 'high' when the exercise. This drives them to exercise more and more, but a vicious circle develops, as they need to exercise more in order to experience the same feeling. They can become addicted to exercise, and this then affects all areas of their life. It can also lead to other problems, such as eating disorders.
