Total ellipse of the art
Article Abstract:
Controversy surrounding the Ellipse, a five-storey extension planned by the Royal College of Art in London, England, is discussed. It is suggested that it will not be too difficult to raise the 22 million pounds sterling needed for the Ellipse from the private sector.

Why English Heritage is failing in its duty
Article Abstract:
The failure of English Heritage to protect some listed buildings is discussed. The organization obtained 5.7 million pounds sterling in grant aid in 2000, but to save all the buildings on its at-risk register would cost at least 400 million pounds sterling.
