UK: INCREASE IN NUMBER OF FOREIGN HOLIDAYS
Article Abstract:
According to figures from International Passenger Survey (IPS), the number of foreign holidays taken by people in the UK has increased over the past five years with demand for short breaks outstripping longer holidays with growth of 76%. The figures reveal that the duration of holidays taken by Britons is declining with occupational pressures attributing to the down turn. Instead, people are taking more short breaks and extending these visits by taking breaks over public holiday periods.
