Peace-keepers walk the thin blue line
Article Abstract:
Norwegian troops operating as a United Nations observation force in Bourhoz, southern Lebanon, are exposed to considerable danger. They patrol an area where there is frequently fierce fighting between Israeli troops and the Hizbollah, and are aware that they could fall victim to either side. The Israelis and their Southern Lebanon Army militia allies have a network of forts on the mountain-tops, and all are open to attack by the Hizbollah. A large amount of Israeli military activity takes place underground, while the Norwegian troops are much more exposed.

We have lost this foolish war
Article Abstract:
Nato military action against Serbia over the treatment of ethnic Albanians in Kosovo, Yugoslavia, has failed to achieve its goals. The ethnic Albanians, whom Nato committed itself to protect, are now being forced to flee Kosovo, and the entire Balkan region is becoming destabilized. Serb President Slobodan Milosevic has not been forced to abandon ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, and Nato has broken its promise to attack only military targets. Nato was also totally wrong to assume that the Serbs would turn against Milosevic.
