From AbFab to Lab Fab
Article Abstract:
Leading personalities in the UK Labour party, especially the Blair family, seem to be setting new social trends. They tend to mix style with social conscience, and prefer fun jewellery and ornaments to genuine antiques. They are keen on Italian-style food, such as olive oil, sundried tomatoes and ciabatta, and also like stylish takeaways, such as guinea fowl and chargrilled vegetables. They eat out frequently, but only at certain restaurants.

The label is the message
Article Abstract:
Many consumers in the UK are very keen to buy clothing which bears a fashionable label. In many cases, they are paying much more than the clothes are actually worth in order to have a particular label, but they seem oblivious to this. However, designers are now coming increasingly to realise that they could be devaluing their brand by labelling clothes too extensively. For this reason, some are now seeking substitutes for labels.
