Where is the last resort?
Article Abstract:
Tour operators offering skiing holidays are adapting the range of holidays they sell as Italy and North America become less popular and demand for holidays in traditional European resorts revives. They are offering new resorts to attract new customers and stimulate existing ones. This approach also serves to attract the attention of journalists who focus on skiing. Many tour operators had negative experiences in Colorado in the 1997 to 1998 season, so are reducing availability at ski resorts there. First Choice, for example, has now added resorts in New England, but France is still this company's most important market.

Break into snow business
Article Abstract:
There can be a number of significant challenges associated with setting up a specialist ski company. People who do try to establish such a company often know what potential clients want, but this does not mean that the business will necessarily flourish immediately. The key to success is finding a niche market in which to operate, such as offering skiing holidays to more mature clients or to those with young children. There can be particularly problems during the first season, when it is vital to have a detailed business plan.
