Why buffalo are the next big thing
Article Abstract:
It is possible that cow's milk is not as nutritious as it is widely believed to be. Some people find it hard to digest, and it can also trigger allergies, particularly in children. Alternatives to cow's milk, including goat's milk and sheep's milk, are now becoming more widely available. Dieticians believe that it is worth trying an alternative to cow's milk if allergy becomes a problem, and warn that dairy products should not be abandoned altogether. Buffalo milk, which is low in cholesterol and naturally homogenized, may offer a solution, but is not easily available in the UK.

No one likes to play the waiting game
Article Abstract:
Many pregnant women become extremely frustrated when their baby is not born on or before the due date. For this reason, many midwives would prefer not to give a specific due date, but women tend to like to have a firm date, often in order to arrange work commitments around the birth. Some women who wish to bring on labour try eating curry, while for others having sex has proved successful. There are also medical ways of inducing labour, but these can bring extremely painful contractions.

Small, deadly, likes to travel
Article Abstract:
There have been 117 human deaths in Malaysia since Sep 29, 1998, from the pig virus known as Nipah. The Malaysian army has killed almost 800,000 pigs so far in an effort to limit the spread of the virus. Scientists are seeking to identify why the virus is being passed from pigs to humans but not between humans. It has already been established that the virus also affects dogs and goats, making it a very unusual virus. It is likely that Nipah has occurred in the past but was not noticed.
